Velo Path
A board game that encourages learning and fun for children
Have you ever wondered how to educate your children about traffic safety while keeping them entertained? “Velo Path” is a board game that does exactly that! With its unique design and interactive approach, this game is perfect for children who want to have fun while learning about road rules.
What is Velo Path?
Velo Path is part of the project “New Wheels of Change”, aiming to promote safe traffic behavior and creative thinking among children. The game is designed for 2–4 players, who, through smart planning and strategy, must reach the goal while avoiding obstacles and respecting traffic rules.
How is it played?
Players compete to be the first to reach their destination by using different types of paths—bike lanes, asphalt roads, pedestrian paths, and dirt roads. The speed of movement depends on the type of path:
- Bicycle path: 6 spaces
- Asphalt road: 4 spaces
- Pedestrian path and dirt road: 2 spaces
What makes this game special?
- Interactive tiles and cards: A dynamic board that constantly changes.
- Traffic safety education: Children learn how to signal properly and which equipment is essential for cyclists.
- Stopping stations: Players can buy extra equipment such as helmets and reflective vests, which are required to continue.
Objective of the game
The winner is the first player to reach the goal (the X mark) by using resources wisely and following traffic rules. The game also includes additional challenges through situation and initiative cards, adding even more fun elements.
